Google Messages redesigned RCS and Text message field started rolling out

Posted on

Google brought some modifications to the Android Messages app UI, and this redesigned RCS and Text message field has now started rolling out for users. Google Messages keeps getting optimized by adding some new elements like Message Compose, Photomoji, and more.

As per the details, the redesigned RCS now shifts Google Messages to a left-aligned text field with an emoji button up first. It further offers Magic Compose, gallery, and the Plus, which is now on the opposite end. Whereas, the voice recorder now owns its separate button outside the pill.

Moving on, once you start typing, there’s a new UI that’s split into two lines. The text field is at the top, while a bar keeps all the shortcuts on the same strip. This redesigning of the messages app offers a quiet subtle, and fresh look, in order to offer users an optimized and seamless experience.

Notably, the design change was earlier live for beta testers and has now started rolling out for public users. So just be ready to send and receive messages with a modified user interface.
