Posted on

Google Photos started rolling its new improved photo editor for Android. You can quickly scroll through all your options to find the tool you need or discover new ones.

Alongside the Google Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G, Google announced new changes coming to Google Photos alongside a new logo. The app is getting a more powerful and granular manual editor. It’s also getting access to machine learning-powered edit suggestions.

It brings automatic edit suggestions features from Google. You will get highlight actions which will make your phone look better. You can accept or ignore these suggestions manually. Google will rollout more suggestions for Pixel phones in the next few months.

In addition, with this new editing tool, you’ll be able to edit the portrait photos lighting — it also includes the older photos captured before the app. This will be first available on the Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5. Google didn’t confirm the timeline for the older Pixel devices but they will get this for sure.

These updates for the Photos app are rolling out to Android phones today on the Google Play Store.
