Google Photos is bringing cloud backup for locked folders
Google Photos is an application that keeps our innumerable memories safe in the form of pictures and videos. It too offers a Locked Folder to keep some files private. Now, the developer is planning to add a cloud backup to the Google Photos Locked Folders.
The Locked Folder hides pictures and videos from the main “Photos” grid and search, as well as the system file picker. Notably, this Locked Folder was first rolled out for Pixel phones and then it gets available to other Android devices at the end of 2021.

To be mentioned, the existing images that have already been uploaded are automatic gets deleted from the cloud once you move them into the Locked Folder. But now, things are going to change, the locked folder data will also be gathered from the cloud backup.

The ability to perform cloud backup of your locked folder items is been found with version 6.23 of Google Photos contains strings detailing how you’ll be able to Back up photos & videos in your Locked Folder from this device to your Google Account.
However, the cloud backups for the Google Photos Locked Folder are optional, and currently, it’s not confirmed when Google is going to add this new capability to the Google Photos Locked folders.
