Google quick search will soon get ‘Search bubble’ chat heads as testing underway
Over the past few months, Google Search has received a lot of updates, and a few notable changes. Back in October, the company released a continuous scrolling search feature on devices. This effectively replaces the “see more” button that appears at the bottom of the page, providing stable results.

Now, Google is working on a more useful “Search Bubble” chat head that gives access to text and voice lookup. It can be placed on the home screen by which the shortcuts can be displayed in some applications (including browsers) as well.
Recently, some screenshot has surfaced online (via 9to5Google) which shows that the new Google Search shortcut appears in the code for Google Home Beta v12.44, which has a temporary shortcut similar to a chat header.
Users can freely move this option to any corner of the screen. But users cannot place this temporary search shortcut on the widget grid. This can avoid interfering with home screen widgets. The floating shortcut has two buttons for standard text search and voice search.
Whenever the new feature goes live, users may receive a notification asking if they want to use it on the home screen. The user can drag and drop the button to the bottom of the screen to turn it off completely or to hide it for a while.
However, it is just a leak, and we cannot say when it will release for the devices. But it is expected to be launched soon as it seems to be in the final stages of development.
