Google has started rolling out a new update for its own Camera app, Google Camera. The version of this update is 8.4 (V8.4.2000.406250151.12), which brings camera features from Pixel 6 and 6 Pro to older Pixel phones via the Play Store.
With the latest update, the company made clearer user interface display settings when swiping down from the top of the display, due to the addition of a gear button next to the chevron icon. Thanks to the corner selfie camera, you can find it in the middle of the Pixel 4a-5a.
On the other hand, Setting adds a new section, Manual Controls, which allows users to enable or disable “Exposure”. For users who prefer a simpler viewfinder and less cluttered right edge, this can be a big change. The “Timer Light” sees the rear flash as a countdown under the “Advanced”.
However, this is a random rollout and will be expanded. At the moment, you can get it through third-party platforms via manual APK installation. After the release, the modder will soon come out with the GCam Mod based on Google Camera 8.4. Therefore, non-Pixel smartphone users will also be able to use the new Google Camera features.
