Google TV provides various significant capabilities that help users get entertained more accurately, meanwhile, the app may soon also receive a most important and awaited feature called call notification. Yes, Google seems working on an element that helps users receive call notifications directly on the TV.
Moving toward the details, Google TV is currently rolling out a new option for call notification, which lets select apps send calls to your TV. Google Meet shows a new underlying option, which opens up a new section of the Settings app, which lets you toggle on and off the ability for apps to deliver call notifications.
Google TV started via the Settings app:
- When enabled, you can receive calls from supported apps on this device. To adjust preferences for call notifications for the individual apps, please refer to the settings in the respective apps. Call notifications only show while you are in your personal user profile on this TV. You can adjust this setting in other profiles to also receive calls when those profiles are active.
Notably, you can turn off app notifications on an app-by-app basis on Google TV through the Settings menu and toggle it on anytime you want. However, the exact functionalities of the feature are not live or unveiled yet, but we can expect to get more information on this in the coming weeks.
