Google Wear OS needs more attention. The smartwatch platform is not in its best shape right now, with some reviewers letting people know they want to avoid them and instead go for something like the Apple Watch or Samsung Galaxy Watch. Wear OS has not seen the new big update since Android 9.
However, with a big spring update coming soon and Google building in I / O 2021, it looks like the smartwatch OS will always get some love. Now, it’s the first major app release from Google in a while. Gboard is now available on Wear OS watches.

Writing on the keyboard is not always a great experience due to the small screen with tight, limited space and small buttons that fit your wrist, but Gboard brings their unique glide typing feature that works with smartphones as well.
For the smartwatch version of the application. Supports some other features, Gboard supports multiple input methods including gestures, QWERTY, and voice, and you can also take advantage of the integrated emoji palette. When sending a message, scrollable word recommendations give you more options so you can only say what you want to say.

Google teases that there are “more stores” for Wear OS in the official announcement post for Wear OS in 2021. We can see more coming up on the platform during I/O 2021 or the rest of the year.
