Here’s how to disable notifications for Twitter Space

Twitter has begun offering more “Space” like its Clubhouse to people, this article will help you to disable notifications for them.

Due to the sudden and huge popularity of the Clubhouse, people are allowed to listen live and even participate in conversations with those they consider to be leaders – or at least just interesting people – it was only a matter of time before the app was launched.

Twitter Space is just one of many clones of the clubhouse, and it’s starting to become more available on more accounts. Accidentally, Twitter has chosen to hack a little growth to attract interest in spaces.

For instance, if you follow someone on Twitter and they start a space, by default, you will be prompted to tune. However you think about the Twitter space, the sudden launch of the feature can lead many people to try it, and thus, to send “person is speaking” notifications you don’t want.

So here’s how to disable notifications for Twitter space:

  • Open the Twitter app’s Settings.
  • Next, open the settings page by tapping the three-lines menu in the top-left corner, then tapping “Settings and privacy.”

  • Get to the push notifications page.
  • Tap “Notifications.” On the next page, under the “Preferences” heading, tap “Push notifications.
  • Disable Spaces notifications.
  • Under the heading “Related to you and your Tweets,” uncheck the box labeled “Broadcasts & Spaces.”

Note: So if you use more than one mobile device for Twitter, such as a phone and tablet, you will need to repeat this step and disable Twitter space notifications on each device.
