New Microsoft Edge feature allows users to send web page to their device directly from browser
Microsoft Edge Canary update is now being launched for Windows 10 and Android, adding a new feature that allows users to send tags to different devices, that is, Chromium’s “Send to My Device” feature. This feature was first added to Chrome in 2019, allowing users to share pages with other devices.
To use the “Send to My Device” function, you need to make sure to use Microsoft Edge Canary 92.0.873.0 on the desktop and Canary 92.0.870.0 on Android. After that, the user needs to right-click a link or label and select the “Send link to [device name]” option.
If another device is also logged into the user’s Microsoft account, this will send the current page to the user’s second Windows device or Android phone. As shown in the GIF below, users can also access this feature directly from the address bar.

If this feature is also enabled on the user’s mobile phone, the mobile phone will receive a reminder that includes the URL (website name), page name, and shared device.
As you can see in the third screenshot, the Android version of Microsoft Edge has a “Share to my device” option in the Share menu. On Android, the user needs to select the device from the list, and the link will immediately appear in the notification center of Windows 10.
The test found that it is possible to share tags between Microsoft Edge on Windows 10 and Android, which is currently not available in macOS. In addition to these fancy features, Microsoft Edge seems to be getting faster with new performance modes on Windows 10 and macOS.
