Now, the company is releasing a new beta update with build version 2.21.24.11 through the Google Play Beta Program. The latest update brings a bug fix to enhance the users’ experience.

After removing the Quick edit media shortcut in the previous beta update, WhatsApp now hides the Migrate Media option via the latest beta release. In WhatsApp settings, some beta testers on Android 11 can use this option.

Several users reported about this option saying that it doesn’t work and they don’t know its purpose. Recently, WABetaInfo shared a post on Twitter, stating that the option was not ready and we have to wait for a new update to find out how it works otherwise remove it.

If your media files have been migrated to Android 11, they may have been added by mistake as the update completely remove the option. Before installing this update, make sure to back up your chat history so that your chat history remains safe in case any problems occur.
