Do you remember the OnePlus Clipt app that lets you sync the content of the clipboard between an Android smartphone and a PC/Mac? Well, it’s time to say goodbye to the useful application as the Chinese OEM is planning to shut it down.
OnePlus launched Clipt as a clipboard sync app for Android and Windows PC or Mac in 2021 via OneLab. It is a prominent product at times when users want to pick a ‘copy-paste’ material from their handset and use it on their computer. The application securely syncs data on Google Cloud, maintaining security and privacy norms.
But with the onset of this week, the tech giant started pushing an alert to its users that it will discontinue the app support on September 30, 2023. Further, the official Play Store listing of the application reads the following:
“We are delighted that you have enjoyed using our app. Unfortunately, due to recent changes within the company, we regret to inform you that we will be discontinuing this service after September 30, 2023. You must back up your data before this date. Your account information will also deleted from our servers after that day. We appreciate your support and hope to have the opportunity to serve you again in the future.”
