After a long wait, Google Chrome finally embeds a “Follow” button, confirming the integration of RSS readers for Android smartphone users. The latest reports suggest that this feature is expected to be launched for iOS users next year.

Reportedly, the Google Chrome 94 browser update enabled a new “Follow” button in the main menu bar. After pressing, the website’s new content will appear as part of the “Follow” tab on the new tab page. In addition, the featured image, title, release time, and excerpt text will be displayed as a list.

It should be noted that Google tested the RSS reader function in early May 2021. Google officially stated that the “Follow” function supports the current open RSS network standard. Additionally, Chrome will return existing content from sites that do not support RSS.

If you also have the latest Chrome 94 version installed, but you can’t find the RSS reader option on the first menu, don’t worry. Just search web feed in chrome://flags and turn the experimental option on.
