The latest version of the Samsung Account app is 11.1.01.3. The size of this update is 17.35MB.
According to the changelog, it is saying “two-factor authentication mandatory for all users”. Samsung Account holders already had this option, but it was optional. Now, you will need to verify the account by providing a phone number when logging in. As usual, you will need to enter a security code sent to the provided number. It is important to note, the app will not ask for the code if you are already logged in. Rather, it will ask for re-verification when you try to log-in again.
Recently, Samsung faced a security glitch that caused around 150 users to see private data of strangers, including names, addresses, and phone numbers.
