Samsung Camera Assistant app gets a major update, brings new features

Samsung has released a new update for the Good Locks’s Camera Assistant module. The latest update adds some new features and improvements to the app.

The latest update brings features like Distortion Correction and Upscale resolution zoom. The Distortion Correction feature will fix bowing and bending lines in photos, while the Upscale function will increase the lost photo resolution during zoom.

About changes in the latest update; the optical quality crop zoom feature is now called a 2x crop zoom shortcut. Under the High Resolution settings page, you can find the Adaptive Pixel option (available for the Galaxy S23 Ultra), this feature reduces noise when taking low-light photos.

The latest version is v2.0.00.0.0 available on the Galaxy Store on supported phones. The Camera Assistant app update is available for devices running One UI 5.1 and higher.

Samsung introduced the Camera Assistant app as a Good Lock module last year in December. With this app, you can use Auto HDR, Picture Softening, Auto Lens, and more camera customization.
