Samsung will address One UI 6.1 Secure Folder delete issue with next update

After installing the most recent iteration of One UI, users have started facing a Secure Folder delete app issue on their flagship Samsung devices. Meanwhile, users can now breathe a sigh of relief as the tech giant has acknowledged the issue and has assured to address it with the upcoming update.

Secure Folder is a popular feature that provides protected space to store sensitive files, photos, and apps. But the recent issue, that restricts users from deleting the Secure Folder app has ruined the overall experience and has raised concerns among the users of One UI 6.1 Galaxy devices.

It’s worth mentioning that, the Secure Folder issue is mainly affecting models that have recently installed One UI 6.1 software such as the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Tab S9 series, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and Galaxy S23 FE.

Talking about the cause, a community moderator states that, while applying the latest Google security policy to One UI 6.1 software, some exception handling of the Secure Folder app was not executed properly, so an app was distributed that restricts the deletion of the Secure Folder.

However, to provide Galaxy device users with an appropriate experience, the South Korean tech giant has started working on a fix and the upcoming update of the Secure Folder will address the delete app problem. This update aims to ensure that users can confidently delete and reinstall the application.
