The story begins when Spotify shares a new blog on the official page and splits out some inputs related to the all-new Jam feature. Besides, a short note says – Now you can invite friends to listen and add songs together in real-time, from wherever they are!
According to the revealings, Jam stands upon some familiar social tweaks and features as well as combines them with personalization tech to make listening with pals better than ever.
The benefit gets doubled when you are a Premium subscriber as it enables to you invite others to contribute through a shared queue and enjoy a musical experience made exclusively for everyone listening. It is worth mentioning that only premium users can begin a Jam session.
To access the feature, choose a song and then tap the three-dot menu or the speaker icon. One can further initiate the sharing process in three ways:
- Turn on Bluetooth, then tap your phones together
- Have your friends scan the QR code on your host screen
- Hit “share” to send the link through social, text, SMS, and more
