After several positive and negative notes over Threads, Instagram CEO – Adam Mosseri come forth and said that the app is not meant to replace Twitter. In addition, the executive dragged our attention to how the respective application will be different from other social media platforms.
To begin with, Adam said that Threads will not support hard news and politics. Instead, several other amazing stuff and communities will be a part of this app’s surface. For instance, sports, music, fashion, beauty, entertainment, and more.
A major reason to skip the political news part is it brings on extra scrutiny, negativity, and integrity risks. For evidence, the head of Instagram said that Facebook dropped “News” from the name of it. Adding more words, the Instagram CEO said that Threads do not aim to replace Twitter.
