Twitter brings another annoying change as ‘anti-spam’ DM feature
Twitter is constantly making new changes to the application which is becoming a headache for users. In the latest development, the company is dropping a new “anti-spam” DM feature on the Twitter ground that has created a lot of chaos on the user platform.
Several Twitter users are showing their disappointment with the latest anti-spam DM feature. Before we lead to the conclusion, let’s understand how this new functionality works and what is the aim behind adding this change to the application.
According to Twitter, the main motive to launch this tweak is to reduce the number of spam messages in DMs. However, this has affected several users with open DMs. For instance, if you had enabled the “everyone to send you a DM” option, then this won’t work due to the recent change.
ATTENTION TWITTER USERS❗️
I have noticed a dramatic change in DM requests and to my surprise it seems Twitter have changed out DM request settings without actually telling us. Be sure to go into your settings and check. I apologize to those that tried sending me messages. 💙 pic.twitter.com/cJmhAQllse

On the flip side, Twitter now only allows message requests from verified users by default. Also, non-Blue subscribers cannot contact anyone who is not connected to them in any manner. It could be a blessing to save your app inbox from unnecessary messages. But at present, the feature only seems annoying to users.
