Twitter X logo reaches Android, app name expected to change

Twitter on the web already started showing the X logo and the company is now pushing this change to the Android app. That’s not it! The inputs also point out that the ultimate online social media platform will get a new name in the coming days.

Accordingly, Twitter has released a new 10.0.0 update beta version for the Android app that shows up the X logo instead of the original blue bird stamp. The new sign appears on a black background and also emerges on the status bar icon for some notifications. Though the updated icon has adopted a Dynamic Color theme.

In terms of name, the Android app reads the name as ‘Twitter Beta’. But the information says that the launcher will gain the X word in the time ahead with a stable app build. By that time, beta users can install the app update from the link below.

Adding more changes to the Android application, X appears in the app bar of the Home feed. Meanwhile, the next tab now has a ‘Search X’ at the top. Another shift is Twitter Blue that now only displays the term ‘Blue’ in the navigation drawer.
