Facebook-turned-Meta-owned WhatsApp has recently released a new update for its users through Google Play Beta Program. Identified via the build version 2.21.24.5, the update introduces a new feature to WhatsApp beta testers, to get notified when unknown business accounts contact you.
WhatsApp Unknown Business Accounts
WhatsApp may have already displayed a message when an unknown person contacts you, but now they do it in a better way. Previously, the notification “user is not in your contact list” appeared under the user’s latest incoming message.

Meanwhile now, the new feature shows a message at the bottom of the chat, informing you that the user is not saved in your contact list. In this way, WhatsApp users can add new business accounts to their contact list or can block them.

Availability:
As the company always tests its new features and changes by providing beta updates to certain WhatsApp users, this update follows the same path. At the moment, the feature is only available for regular beta testers on WhatsApp beta for Android (via). It may soon be available for all users.
Previous Updates:
Recently, the manufacturers added a multi-device feature to the application. It allows users to manage the application on up to four connected devices without having to connect to a smartphone. [See Details]
