WhatsApp Pay is a chat payment feature, which allows users to make a transaction through WhatsApp to any of their contact lists. After a long time, WhatsApp Pay is now available in India along with UPI support.
In February 2018, WhatsApp Pay was released in India as part of testing. However, it not get permission to expand features since then in the country.
The WhatsApp payment feature is now available in 10 Indian languages. To use WhatsApp payment, you need to have a bank account and debit card.

To bring this new payment system, WhatsApp supports 5 banks including ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, SBI, and the Jio Payments bank. These banks enable WhatsApp to make UPI payments across the country.
WhatsApp had been testing it in previous years but needed regulatory approval for an expanded launch. WhatsApp payments launched in Brazil earlier this year.
