WhatsApp releasing ‘My Contact Except’ option for last seen privacy
WhatsApp is releasing a new custom privacy setting for Android users. Spotted in WhatsApp Beta version 2.21.23.14, the new feature seems to be the “My Contacts Except” option for last seen, giving you more control over who can see your information on WhatsApp.
Previously, WABetaInfo announced that the Facebook-turned-Meta-owned messaging service is working on the ‘my contact except’ option for its Last Seen feature. However, at that time, this functionality was under development but it has now been released for specific beta testers.

Moreover, to check if the feature is available for you or not, you need to open your Privacy Settings to see if the option is visible. Below mentioned is the preview:
My Contact Except:
It’s the same feature, we use in WhatsApp status privacy. It allows a user to set privacy on individual contacts within our contact list. Still, this feature has the same working manner as others. If you won’t let others know about your WhatsApp activities, you also won’t be able to check them as well.
Do note that if you disable your last seen for specific contacts, you won’t be able to see their last seen as well. Also, this special rule for Last Seen does not apply to About and Profile Photo.
