WhatsApp rolling out better file management tools to ease up its storage usage

WhatsApp is rolling out a new improved way to manage the app’s storage usage, which helps to users to identify, select and bulk delete GIFs, photos and video that may be unnecessarily filling your phone.

WhatsApp messaging app now offers easy clean-up suggestion by combining large and media files that has been forwarded many times. It also enables files sorting by size in descending order, and also enabling files preview before you delete them.

According to WhatsApp release, the new storage management tools are rolling out to users globally this week. Therefore, if you haven’t received the update at moment, you may require to wait for a few days to get this update on your devices.

Users can navigate to the new tool by going to Setting > Storage and data > Mange storage option.
