Back in November 2020, reports stated that WhatsApp is developing a useful feature that lets users turn off the sound of the video before sharing it with their contacts or status. Now, it looks like that the popular messaging app has developed a new functionality which is rolling out with a new update.
According to WABetainfo, WhatsApp has begun sending the Mute video option and it will be available for the users in different phases. The added toggle will be available in the section where users regularly edit the video.

Currently, WhatsApp is bringing the mute video option to the Android beta testers. After ensuring the stability and compatibility of this feature, the company will deliver it to normal WhatsApp users in future updates.
