WhatsApp working to add a new Community feature

WhatsApp to drop support for iOS 10 and iOS 11 devices after October 24

Undoubtedly, WhatsApp is one of the biggest messaging platforms. Despite its massive scale and popularity, the application has been slow to install features. For example, many popular IM (instant messaging) apps offer seamless chat backup and synchronization between Android and iOS, but WhatsApp has recently made great strides in allowing iOS users to stream their conversations to Android.

However, it is reported that WhatsApp is developing new community features of its application, and in appearance, it may differ from the current performance of the Groups.

The latest WhatsApp beta version v2.21.21.6 brings several new cables that point to a future feature called “Community”. They all have new string extensions on WhatsApp, showing activity in the new community feature. And the community feature will be quite different from the group’s current features.

Unless, these community strings are new and exist along with all existing strings belonging to Group functions, indicating that these two elements may be interconnected. Furthermore, one of the strings continues to refer to Group and Community in the same definition, giving further weight to the notion that these two elements would appear at the same time.

A community can be a social media activity in WhatsApp, with an instant messaging application similar to the current Facebook group. WhatsApp Community can be a free channel to host multiple WhatsApp groups and manage messages.

But unlike channels, which simply post without promoting a discussion, community posts are more likely to capture radio responses, such as how Telegram allows responses on its channel posts. WhatsApp can only change the group name to Community, and there are no thread changes in this beta version.
