WhatsApp not only serves useful capabilities for mobile apps (Android and iOS) but also takes care of the Desktop version. In the latest edition, the company is rolling out a screen lock feature for the WhatsApp Web to enhance the overall privacy aspects.
Accordingly, WhatsApp is bringing the screen lock feature for the web version after a wait of one year. The company is now pushing of this tweak for some beta testers and will gradually roll it out to general consumers.
From the name, the screen lock feature asks for a password to view the list of conversations. One can access it under Settings > Privacy section. Here, users will find a screen lock entry point. Eventually, it ensures that even if someone gains access to your desktop, they won’t be able to sneak into chats or messages.
