Xiaomi is making the MIUI Gallery app more convenient as the application now offers a suitable way to back up your photos and videos using OneDrive. With this feature, you can securely store your media files in the cloud, ensuring that they are safe and easily accessible whenever you need them.
According to the information, OneDrive synchronization in the Xiaomi MIUI Gallery will only be available on devices running the global ROM and will not work on tablets. Simultaneously, it will initially be available on specific models and then later be available for a wider range of devices.
It’s worth mentioning that the popular Xiaomi 12T and Xiaomi 13 series are not included in the list of phone models expected to receive OneDrive backup.
Furthermore, the OneDrive backup feature will not be available in some countries including Macau, Hong Kong, Russia, Belarus, Cuba, Isle of Man, Lebanon, South Georgia South Sandwich Island, Venezuela, and more.
To use OneDrive photo backup through MIUI gallery on Xiaomi phones, you’ll need to turn off photo/video backup in Xiaomi Cloud. Once you’ve done that, you can start the backup process to OneDrive.
OneDrive provides a secure and reliable platform for storing your media files. Your photos and videos are protected by advanced encryption and are stored in Microsoft’s data centers, which employ robust security measures to ensure the safety of your files. This gives you peace of mind knowing that your precious memories are well-protected.
