YouTube Music is now becoming Google’s only music streaming service that’s responsible for the outcast of the Google Play Music app. Now, users of YouTube Music can stream their uploaded music right into smart speakers.
Cloud library was one of the biggest roadblocks for Google to be able to close Play Music as many people spent years building their library. At the beginning of this year, users finally gained the ability to transfer Play Music songs automatically to YouTube Music libraries.

The YouTube Music app was unable to stream songs to smart speakers without a paid subscription. This was most likely because YouTube Music’s free tier was built around video ads and not audio-only ones.
Previously, users had to purchase subscriptions of YouTube Music to stream songs to smart speakers. This is due to the fact that the free version of YouTube Music was built for video ads and not only for audio ones.
According to 9to5Google, the YouTube Music app on both Android and iOS now permits you to cast your uploaded music to any smart speakers in your home.
