YouTube Music gets a permanent mini-player look

Google is giving a makeover to the YouTube Music application by adding a permanent mini-player design to it. In addition, the app will show a persistent Cast button to route up your favorite songs on a large-screen device. As of now, users will have a more precise and comprehensive look at the application.

According to the new details, functions like cover art, song name, and artist continues to stay on the left side. Though the Play and Cast tabs have shifted to the right corner, maintaining the original position. Eventually, a tap on the Cast option will open the ‘Cast to a device’ menu. But now the button has been removed from the app bar.

The overall tune-up brings a cleaner header section in the app with a search, account profile, and History sections. Ahead, users can swipe left to jump to the next whereas, swipe right to go back to the previous song or page. Although a drawback that you may find is, one cannot swipe down to clear the Music queue.
