YouTube Music shares the status of top-requested features

YouTube Music team is sharing the status of the top-requested features. The company is committed to keeping its users well-informed about every little detail about its app. Hence, it revealed precise information on which features will not show up in the coming days.

According to the official feedback channel on Reddit, the YouTube Music team named some of the top-requested features that are currently not in development. These include a custom playlist cover art, a standalone app for smart TVs and game consoles, and background play with free ads in more countries.

Perhaps, the company could work on these segments in the time ahead. But for this moment, there are no plans to roll out such features to users. On the other hand, the company said “no updates” for:

• Turning off ‘viewer discretion’ content warnings
• High-quality audio
• Volume normalization
• Improved upload and metadata editing options

However, the positive point is some useful features such as sleep timers and real-time lyrics will soon be available to more users across the globe.
