Audi releases electric ‘Three Jumpers’ using recycled power batteries
Audi and start-up Nunam have teamed up to create an electric tricycle using old power batteries recovered from Audi e-Tron test vehicles, which are scheduled to be launched in India in early 2023 on the road in a pilot project.

This three-wheeled electric vehicle has a very eye-catching design, with black and red matching, no doors, two rows of front and rear seats, and Audi’s four-ring LOGO on the front. Nunam is a non-profit start-up company based in Berlin and Bangalore, funded by the Audi Environmental Foundation.
Chatterjee also said that even after use in a vehicle, the power battery can still store a lot of energy, and these recycled power batteries are very useful for vehicles with lower range and power requirements, and lower overall weight.
Moreover, electric-powered tricycles are not uncommon on Indian roads, but they usually use lead-acid batteries, which have a relatively short lifespan and are often not disposed of properly.
