Tesla Model Y spotted testing FSD V12 system

A well-known FSD beta tester Chuck Cook has recently observed a Tesla Model Y testing the Full Self-Driving (FSD) V12 system at his test loop in Jacksonville, Florida. This test loop includes a complex unprotected left turn (UPL) that has been named the “Chuck Cook style” in the FSD Beta 10.13 Release Notes.

After testing the FSD V12 system on the Tesla Model Y, Chuck explains that the UPL is a 3-lane divided highway with a median, and the speed limit is around 50 mph. The difficulty lies in selecting the right gap to cross the road and positioning oneself in the median for the second part.

However, the FSD V12  system is currently being tested exclusively by select Tesla employees, and once the beta testing program is concluded, Tesla will release the non-beta version, Autopilot FSD 12, to Tesla owners who have purchased the Full Self-Driving Capability package.
