Volkswagen, one of the world’s leading automobile manufacturers, has announced a substantial 7% increase in its global sales during Q3 of 2023. This accomplishment underscores the company’s resilience, adaptability, and commitment to meeting the evolving needs of consumers around the world.
According to the official website, in Q3 of 2023, the Volkswagen Group delivered 2.3437 million vehicles globally, which resulted in a year-on-year increase of 7.4%. Global pure electric vehicle sales increased by 40.5% to 209,900 vehicles, accounting for 1% of the group’s total sales.
From January to September this year, Volkswagen Group’s global delivery volume of pure electric vehicles reached 531,500 units, a year-on-year increase of 45%. The proportion of sales increased to 7.9% from 6.1% in the same period last year.

However, Volkswagen’s Q3 sales in the Chinese mainland market fell by 5.8% to 837,200 units. The Volkswagen Group’s sales in Europe and North America offset the related Decline effect.
