Android 14 beta 2 causing ongoing call issues on some OnePlus 11 devices

Posted on

Being a flagship smartphone, OnePlus 11 is the first to get a ride on the Android 14 beta wagon. Eventually, developers are getting a chance to explore the latest changes and features for their apps and services. But alongside features, Android 14 beta 2 is causing ongoing call issues for some OnePlus 11 devices.

After installing the major Android 14 beta 2 update, some OnePlus 11 users mentioned ongoing call issues in the community forum. The details reveal that the newest version put a complete pause on the calling process, due to which phone owners are unable to make calls.

It is obvious to find such types of issues and errors in beta firmware. However, the new calling bug is quite annoying as it interrupts the user experience. Following the thread, a user said that it is normal to get flaws in system features, but phone calls should not be a problem.

“The issue that ongoing phone calls are not functioning is annoying even for a DP or beta, it should be corrected immediately. It’s okay that more sophisticated functions may compromise, but phone calls shouldn’t be a problem.”

While releasing the beta firmware, the manufacturer cited a few issues that developers and other users might experience with the upgrade. Yet, the calling issue didn’t count in the list. Therefore, the tech giant should take instant action on this issue, and push off an effective fix for the same.
