New Android Auto update brings a nasty bug that ruins audio quality
Android Auto has recently received a new update with several significant improvements but at the same time, it brought in a nasty bug that has reduced the audio quality of the music. The issue came into the spotlight after various reports on the Reddit and Google forums.
The information reveals that users experienced lower audio quality while streaming music on Android Auto, which is likely due to a bug or issue. Notably, the issue begins degrading the audio following the use of Google Assistant for phone calls, and other features.
A user further explained that things ran fine until he used the Assistant on Android Auto. Eventually, this action led to the degradation of the audio quality and left the sound muffled. Note that restarting Android Auto fixes the problem by the time one uses the Assistant again.
Something similar happened in late August with head units that use ZLink software. You can check the complete issue HERE. Perhaps, things have been working wrong for a long while.
However, it seems like Google will not fix this problem. The company has marked the issue as infeasible and suggests that a fix will not come because the products were not certified by Google.
