Apple iPhone 15 users facing CarPlay issues due to USB-C cables

Apple iPhone 15 series continues to impress consumers but it seems as if things aren’t the same for everyone. According to the information, there are several complaints from Apple iPhone 15 users regarding the CarPlay issues where the feature is now functioning accurately.

Diving into the details, it looks like the reason behind the CarPlay issues on Apple iPhone 15 models is the USB-C cables. Notably, Cable type and port play a significant role in CarPlay. But not all USB-A to USB-C cables on the market will work, and some that work in certain vehicles will not work in others.

Sharing the problem a Reddit user said:

“I got in my car this morning and plugged my phone in with a USB-A to USB-C cord in order to use Carplay, and found it does not connect. It charges, but no Carplay. In my Carplay settings on my phone, it says the name of my car as if it were connected, but nothing shows up on the screen.”

The user further reported that his car doesn’t have any USB-C ports so, he opted for the Apple-supplied C to C cable in a 2023 model and it worked with no problem.

Thus, it’s either USB-A to USB-C that does not allow Carplay, or it simply does not work anymore with non-Apple chargers. Don’t worry as Apple is already working on the fix and we may get a solution in the next few weeks.
