Google Assistant is one of the best services for Pixel devices but recently some users reported an annoying bug that constantly asks them to set up quick phrases. Eventually, this action will skip the requirement of the ‘Hey Google’ command for completing certain tasks.
To those who are unaware, Google Assistant has the quick phrases capability that enables you to directly command the app without adding the preface ‘Hey Google’. For instance, you can just say ‘stop’ and ‘snooze’ for an alarm or answer, decline, and silence for incoming calls.
Consequently, the feature is accessible for Pixel 6 and newer devices with language support for English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, and Spanish.
However, things started troubling users with the Google app v14.36 beta update that resulted in a nasty Assistant bug, asking users to set up quick phrases. While it is good to use quick phrases to save time, the constant prompt on the screen makes it quite irritating for Pixel owners.
Moreover, the request even appears when the feature is already enabled on the device running on Android 13 and 14 operating systems. Perhaps, a future app update may fix this defect, giving relief to Pixel phone owners.
