Google Pixel 6 users unable to access stored files after Android 14 upgrade

Posted on

Google Pixel 6 smartphone users were enjoying the Android 14 upgrade when suddenly they encountered a nasty bug that restricted them from accessing stored files and data in the device. At the same time, it hampers the multiple user profiles capability.

The reports from the Google forum and Reddit platform say that the Pixel 6 series including the standard, Pro, and A-tagged models are facing issues with the stored files and user profiles after installing the Android 14 upgrade. As a result, the corresponding phone owners are unable to use the device storage.

On the flip side, the storage problem is mainly affecting those users who have been working with multiple profiles before the Android 14 installation. The details reveal that the main profile on Pixel 6 cannot retrieve storage data, limiting users to accessing photos, videos, downloaded files, and other essentials.

Besides, the app installation for the device pops up a notification reading – there is no available storage. Though the issue is not affecting many users. Yet, it is annoying. Hope that the company will release a fix to this matter in the upcoming days.
