OxygenOS 14 closed beta program has once again raised the excitement bar by proceeding towards the three-year-old flagship models. But be careful, as the latest OxygenOS 14 beta firmware may slow down the app update process for your iconic OnePlus 9 phone, including standard, Pro, and 9RT models.
Looking into the official thread, we found that OxygenOS 14 beta has some known issues for the OnePlus 9 series, and one of them affects the app update process. Eventually, you may observe slow installation or updating of applications in the Google Play Store.
Other known issues are as follows:
- Flashback issue when taking photos after turning on High-Efficiency Image.
- Progress bar issue of the icon when adjusting the beautification effect bar with the front camera.
- Slow update of apps in the Play Store.
Being a beta build, it is possible to initially encounter a few bugs and glitches in the device’s system. No doubt, the company will resolve them with the upcoming software versions. Till then, you can take some precautions to avoid unnecessary headaches.
For instance, you should take a complete backup to prevent data loss. In addition, you can check out the incompatible apps list and remove them from your handset, if any. Also, download the latest versions of all the apps from the Play Store before installing the beta firmware.
