OnePlus users report Play Store links issue after latest OxygenOS update
OnePlus is rolling out the August 2023 security update with the latest safety fixes and improvements. However, some OnePlus phone users are reporting a strange Play Store links issue after installing the new OxygenOS version.
The bug came into the spotlight when the well-known OnePlus observer @Some_Random_Username initiated an issue thread on the community forum and cited that clicking on Play Store links does not redirect to the Google Play Store app.
Sharing some evidence, the tipster attached a link and said to click on any link in the Play Store application and then press the OK button. Thereafter, you may notice the toast notification which reads -“No app found to open the link”.
“When using the app, click on any Play Store link e.g.: HERE.”
Ahead, the user shared a clip in the form which you can see HERE. In response to the thread, several users said that they have been facing the annoying issue for a long time. Perhaps, the problem may be from the Play Store side and Google will begin a workaround in the coming days.
Till then, let us know whether you are dealing with the same trouble on your OnePlus smartphone after installing the latest update or if is everything fine on your side.
