OnePlus, Samsung, and more Android users get warning about risky vulnerabilities
OnePlus, Samsung, and some more Android smartphone users are getting serious warning about some risky vulnerabilities. The alert is being issued by the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).
According to the inputs, the agency has found a variety of software-related issues in different Android versions which are likely to access sensitive data, causing harm to users’ security and privacy. Eventually, these internal defects will mainly affect those devices running Android 11, 12, 12L, and 13 operating systems.
Hence, the Indian agency has started sending a warning to OnePlus, Pixel, Samsung, and other Android users regarding these vulnerabilities. At the same time, CERT-In has highlighted the ‘keeping your device up-to-date’ point as it is easier for hackers to crash older versions.
How to prevent such problems:
- Android users need to quickly apply the security updates that Google offers.
- It is important to keep your Android system up to date with these patches. It helps to keep your personal information safe.
