Samsung is the global leader in the display panel market. It specializes in high-quality displays for a variety of sectors, including LED (organic light-emitting diode) and LCD technologies, including mobile phones, IT, and industrial use.
According to a recent report, the major display maker Samsung Display in South Korea targets to expand its presence in the gaming display market with its OLED panels for smartphones.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, people now prefer to work from home to maintain social distance. Similarly, the number of online gamers is also steadily increasing, hence the demand for gaming devices is increasing sharply.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, Samsung Display has decided to expand its production and sales of gaming-centric-OLED displays. In addition, the company plans to develop some new gaming devices, including smartphones.
Samsung’s OLED panels are specifically designed for games with fast frame transitions, as it offers an upgrade rate of 120Hz and above, providing an excellent gaming experience while playing graphic-intensive games.
Recently, the OLED panel was certified as ‘Seamless Display’ by the Swiss company SGS SA, one of the newest certification companies in the world, with its latest high renewal rate. Additionally, the company’s 6.78-inch OLED panel was used in the recently released gaming smartphone Asus ROG Phone 5 with a high refresh rate of 120Hz.
Finally, the OLED display plays a major role in the OLED display, making it one of the best displays in the world for laptops, smartphones, and other gadgets, as previously reported by various researchers. Therefore, we can assume that it will be very challenging for other OEMs to compete with Samsung in terms of displays including OLEDs.
