ADATA reveals that Chia coin mining has increased its SSD sales by 5 times
Recently, the popularity of Chia coin (Chia) mining has caused the prices of mechanical hard drives and solid-state drives to rise. the SSD manufacturer Adata recently stated that the brand’s solid-state drive sales have increased by 5 times, especially the largest sales of high-capacity SSDs.
The mining method of Chia Coin is to use hard disk space, the greater the capacity, the higher the mining efficiency. Although large-capacity mechanical hard drives are more cost-effective, solid-state drives have the advantage of reading and write speeds and are also suitable for mining.

Chiacoin miners prefer to use SATA SSDs instead of NVMe SSDs. This is because NVMe solid-state drives require a large number of PCIe channels, and the number of channels that a CPU or motherboard can provide is very limited. However, for the slower SATA interface, the same platform can support a large number of SATA solid-state drives.
Onda recently released a special motherboard for Chia Coin with up to 32 SATA interfaces. This product is called Chia-D32H-D4, Onda specially equipped with an 800W power 80Plus gold power supply. The motherboard uses the B365 chipset, with 4 memory slots and one PCIe slot.
