The new interface of the AMD Zen 4 architecture processor has been exposed on Twitter. This generation of Ryzen processor codenamed “Raphael” Raphael, will cancel AMD’s ancestral pins and replace them. It is the AM5 LGA1718 interface.
The tipster recently released a set of renderings again, showing the positive shape of the processor. The upper cover of this processor is very different from AMD’s previous products, changing the original full coverage method, but cutting the upper cover into eight protruding parts.

Intel’s processor also uses a similar stepped upper cover design, the purpose is to facilitate matching with the buckle, firmly fixed on the motherboard interface. AMD’s design is even more different. It is expected that each groove will have a related clip to block the CPU.
The AMD Zen 4 architecture desktop processor is expected to be released in 2022 and belongs to the Ryzen 7000 series. This product will use 5nm process technology, support dual-channel DDR5 memory, with up to 28 PCIe 4.0 channels.
The tipster also announced that the power consumption of this CPU standard version will reach 120W, and the high-end model can reach 170W TDP.
This is how Raphael will look like from the top. AM5 sure has an interesting design 🤔
