Apple Maps in iOS 17 gets real-time EV Charger availability

Apple Maps is getting some new tweaks with the iOS 17 upgrade and the latest one is the EV charger availability around you. As of now, the application will not only mark the places where you can get free electric car chargers but will also tell you which of these points are busy, to make your driving experience more efficient.

According to the information, iOS 17 adds real-time EV Charger availability on Apple Maps. As the name suggests, you will be able to pick the charging points at stations with full details. This is a helpful change as now you can plan your charging session as the left-out range.

On the other hand, you get the opportunity to choose your preferred charging partner. For instance Chargepoint, Electrify America, and more. Besides, it gives you information about the free space in those charging stalls so that you don’t waste your time moving from one point to another in search of an EV charger.

For the moment, Apple Maps is full of prominent features such as real-time EV charging abilities, preferred charging network selection, and intelligent routing. It would be worth seeing what else the tech giant will implement in the app in the coming days.

Here is what the tech maker says:

Maps add offline maps, so users can download a specific area and access turn-by-turn navigation, see their estimated time of arrival, find places in Maps, and more while offline. Maps also make it easier than ever to discover thousands of trails in parks across the United States and support electric vehicle drivers with real-time charging availability information.
