Apple has recently seeded the iOS 14.5 and iPadOS 14.5 updates to developers for testing purposes. Along with this, the company has also released the second beta of the tvOS 14.5 and watchOS 7.4 which is also currently available for the developers.
watchOS 7.4 second developers beta:
The first beta of the watchOS 7.4 which was released three weeks earlier added new features such as ‘Time to Walk’ functionality, expanded ECG availability, and a unity watch face. And now the company has released its second developers beta for testing more such new functions.
With the first beta of watchOS 14.5 alongside the iOS 14.5, new functionality is being added that can unlock your iPhone without the requirement of Face ID while wearing a mask using Apple Watch. However, this function is limited just to unlocking and can’t be used for other app locks and Apple Pay.

In addition, the new watchOS 14.5 update comes with many other new features such as AirPlay 2 support for the Apple Fitness+ and much more. Developers can download this update via the Apple Watch app on the iPhone through General > Software update.
Users must remember before installing the update that the Watch needs to be 50% and should be placed on the charger. Also, it should be in the range of the iPhone.
tvOS 14.5 Second Developers Beta
Apple along with the watchOS 7.4 developers beta also released the second iteration of the tvOS 14.5 to developers for testing purposes. This update came after two weeks of the previous beta.
The new tvOS 14.5 brings support for the latest PlayStation 5 FualSense and Xbox Series X controllers and now it can be used to play games from the tvOS app store and Apple Arcade. Also, the support for the new controllers has been added.
Besides this, there is not much information available for this update and we’ll keep you posted as we receive something new on this. The developers beta for the fourth and fifth generation of Apple TV can be downloaded through the profile that has been created using Xcode.
