Gmail is finally bringing back the red notification icon for Android. The US tech maker is rolling out a new update that restores the Dynamic color theming element on the mobile application. Let’s dig a bit more into this matter.
To those who are unaware, the company introduced a new change to the Gmail notification icon last week, which was part of Dynamic Color theming based on the user’s wallpaper. Although the tweak has removed the red-color symbol due to which users raised negative feedback.
A major reason to find the change annoying was, it didn’t highlight the email alerts in the notification panel. However, Google always prefers its consumers’ choice and restored the red notification icon in Gmail for Android devices. Version 2023.06.11.x which recently started rolling out shows the favorable icon back in the notification shade.
