Google has started working on a new AI image generation tool for the Meet application that will help users in creating custom backgrounds. So far, the company was checking on the slides matter for the respective app. After the public testing, the tech giant moved to another implementation.
Consequently, the new AI image generation tool in Google Meet will help you to form various backgrounds. For instance, a sophisticated, simple, and plain background for meetings with clients, or a magical forest while being on a video call with your friends.
That’s not it! You can even form a background during calls via the visual effects menu. Here, you can pick a style from options like none, Fantasy, 3D animation, Sci-fi, Photography, Illustration, and Monochrome. In addition, you can choose references to a style, mood, setting, or objects in the environment.

To do so, open meet.google.com on a computer and select a meeting. At the bottom right, click Apply visual effects and tap on the Generate a background option.
