Google Pay in Chrome is getting some new enhancements that will show saved card names and a preview of it. This is quite similar to what we have in the Google Wallet application. Eventually, the motive of this change is to make digital cards easily accessible to users.
As of now, the autofill payment info sheet in Google Pay (Chrome) lists all your saved card names with some specific details. For instance, the last four digits, when the card will expire, and payment networks such as Visa, Mastercard, and so on.
Google further explains this implementation with an example:
“Many people shop with multiple cards: For example, you might use a specific credit card for big purchases to rack up points, and a debit card for smaller purchases. But when you get to the checkout page, it can be hard to remember which one to select.”
To avoid this confusing point, Google Pay in Chrome now displays all your saved cards with images and names in the autofill drop-down menu. In this way, you would be able to quickly identify the right one to use.
Starting this month, the new tweak is now available to many shoppers in the US, UK, and Australia. On the other hand, you can now sync your saved addresses across different apps. Also, users can opt for International Bank Account Numbers for regular payment transactions.
