Google keeps on introducing new apps that could benefit users in the utmost manner. At the same time, the tech maker also puts a full stop to those services that don’t count as useful. In the latest edition, Google said to shut down Album Archive and inform consumers to back up their media immediately.
What is Album Archive? It is generally a platform that enables users to access and manage media content from various other Google products. It is particularly used for viewing archived albums from Blogger and Hangouts applications.
Although, Google has decided to shut down Album Archive for some unknown reasons. In recent times, the company has informed manu users by sending an official mail to back up their media content and other files before July 19 to prevent any kind of data loss.
In addition, the manufacturer has also stapled this detail on the official page of Album Archive. Google has clearly specified that ‘content that’s only available in Album Archive’ would be deleted from July 19.

Ahead, the main mentions that this data could be related to the Hangouts application or background images from the Gmail theme picker before 2018. Don’t worry as you can take the help of the Takeout app that will send you a download link through an email or transfer your images to cloud services. For instance, Google Drive, Box, OneDrive, or Dropbox.
Do note that you could still view and manage content beyond July 19 on a few services. Such as Blogger, Hangouts (Chat), Google Photos, and their default Google Account which contains profile photos.
